TDS PHILOSOPHY

The TDS philosophy is rooted in the foundation built by founder, Toni Morrison. Toni started TDS in 1978. Over the years she found true delight in sharing the gift of dance with anyone and everyone. At TDS dance is taught as an art form rather than an act of competition. Creativity, equality and coordination are encouraged in each class. All students are presented with the opportunity to find interesting and beautiful challenges no matter their level or previous dance experience. Although technique is admired and encouraged, perfection is not the main goal. TDS is known for its fun and loving environment, free of judgement and high expectations. Healthy discipline and goal setting are promoted as exciting opportunities to grow and learn new things! TDS’ main goals for students are increasing self-confidence, creativity, endurance, coordination and positivity.
